Competition help with piston choice

Competition Murfreesboro, TN Results 01/12/2007

Here's the project(see pics) and heres the problem, It's running a built 350, but it's carborated so I think full hydro would be bad if it died on a steep hill. So my question is where do you tap the factory box for pressure to the assist ram???

Axle's are D60/14blt rear locked running 5. 13 and 39. 5" boggers :D

I'll try to get some better pics posted soon.

Thanks,

I wasn't thinking correctly when I responded to your PM, and had not seen this post until now.
Tapping the box requires tight tolerances (as I'd said) as the lines are close together and there's just not a lot of room for error. I don't have the templates, as I'm on the road with my day job (in NJ, live in AZ)
I'm assuming that you're using the Jeep gearbox, which is very similar to a later GM car box.
PSC's site shows some good pics that'll give you the best idea of the locations for the ports.

Rebuild of your own, and tapping for the ports, with proper modifications for flow, is offered by PSC (and others) for around $250. If there's anything broken inside, though, it costs extra to replace those parts.
I can talk to you more on this and anything else if you'd like, you've got my number now. I don't want to get in trouble for seeming like I'm trying to sell you anything. Just telling you that you'd be money and frustration ahead in the long run to let the pros do this mod, especially since it deals with a safety item... even if you are only gonna use the rig off highway. :) There are plenty of other locations where doing it on your own will provide that satisfaction of accomplishment :D
