Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Hydrolic pump seal/Warr. prob.

I have a slight leak in the seal in the power steering/vacuum pump. Started slowly at about 30K miles, Dodge said they couldn't find leak. Seemed to stop for awhile. Now 90K started leaking on a regular basis.



Dodge says its not covered under 100K warrantee as not an engine part. New part is $2,750. 00. Anyone have any ideas, like stop leak etc...

Most likely it is the vacuum pump seal leaking.

It's easy to fix, only hard part is getting the two pumps out. Dont disconnect the power steering pump or drain it, just bungee cord it out of the way.
