boost foolerr?!?!?!
Now this has sparked my imagination, and in going a long with the superchip topic, I have an 01 with a superchip and a stock auto with afe and gauges. I pull a 41 ft. flatbed from NW Iowa to SE Arkansas with different farm equipment, my biggest load weighing in at about 30 thousand gross with the truck and trailer. Yes i know, buy a semi, but they are regulated by the dot way too closely. Anyway, the superchip is a great buy, but when pulling large grades my egt's will hit the 1400 mark pre turbo. How hot is too hot anyways, everyone says something different, but im sure you guys will know for sure. So with my high egts i wanted to get 4 inch first, but couldn't get the cash for it right away. In searching the net, i found a product from bullydog to raise boost on 01 and 02 auto's, and bought it for like 40 bucks. Well i get the product, nothing more then a nother spring and a peice of aluminum and an adjustable turnbuckle if you will. So i put it on and tightened it up a bunch, but in doing so, my boost would hit 26 pounds real quick, but then it would cut fuel way back and your acc. goes to crap. I was assuming the only way to fool the computer was with an edge ez or comp. , but couldn't find the cash for that at this point either. (Being in college really sucks the cash account for toys. ) So any info on this so called boost fooler would be excellent to know!!!! Thanx,
Kevin
