I have a hypertech power programmer with the 3 settings on it. On level 3 it is a big noticeable power gain as wel as mpg and smoke. Are there any problems with these that I don't about? Are there others out there that are better? Keep in mind this one is already paid for!

Thanks

Smarty maybe

There is a thread on the next page about smarty's that Fishn guide started, it's good reading. I'd say the smarty might be better on a stock truck as far as performance but I have some doubts about running it with a stock auto as it fuels pretty hard early in the power band where the auto is at it's weakest. As far as the Hypertech I only have experiance with the 6. 5 chevy chip and it was top notch. Yours is paid for, thats always a plus. Spend your money wisely. DW

Smarty... much better than any other programmer cuz it takes care of torque management. I also have a hypertech, it was my first programmer. No longer used on my own truck but have done 8 other trucks!!! Many satisfied people!!! Great if all you want is a little more git-n-go.

There was a test in TDR magazine, don't remember which issue, but the Hypertech was not very impressive powerwise. You need to put up a signature so we know what your truck has. If you don't already have them get gauges, or a Juice w/Attitude monitor before you do anything else.

If you get a Juice w/Attitude you get all your gauges, 120hp more plus a turbo timer, and you can stack it with a Smarty later. Also, ditch the K&N, lets way too much dirt through.

i liked my hypertech for the fuel milage gain it gave me and the ability to read and erase codes change tire sizes. still have it but dont have it on the truck

I think I am going to go with a smarty... eventually. In the meantime, is there anything similar to the attitude that doesn't control anything?

(like Juice w/ attitude)

I need to gauge fuel, boost, etc. , and would love a simple digital thing like the attitude. Anybody know of one?
