From the CDOT website: CoTrip.org

PAVING SET TO START TO EISENHOWER TUNNEL

SUMMIT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) begins rotomilling and paving eastbound Interstate 70 from the Dillon Reservoir Overlook (mile 204) to the west portal of the Eisenhower Tunnel (mile 214) on Sunday, June 10. The project also includes guardrail replacement, minor bridge repair and minor shoulder improvements, erosion control and culvert pipe work, striping, seeding, and mulching.

Work will be taking place around the clock during the week, as follows:

Sundays – 10 p. m. to 6 a. m. (Monday). One or two lanes closed

Monday through Thursday – 7 p. m. to 6 a. m. (Friday) One or two lanes closed

Monday through Thursday – 7 a. m. to 6 p. m. Only one lane closed

Paving is expected to be completed by the end of August, with the entire project completed in September.

The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph in the work zone. Only minor delays are anticipated during project hours but CDOT will monitor traffic and adjust and/or remove lane closures if long backups develop. No weekend work will be scheduled.

Initial rotomilling and paving operations that begin Sunday will be taking place from mile 204 to the Silverthorne/Dillon Interchange (Exit 205) through the end of June. Work will be suspended during Fourth of July week (July 1-6). Rotomilling and paving then begins east of the interchange in early July.

Motorists also are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.

Traffic information about this or other CDOT projects is on the cotrip.org website or by calling 511 statewide, (303) 639-1111 in the Denver area or (877) 315-ROAD elsewhere in Colorado.
