Oo. I have so many questions and more as time goes on. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram Quad cab 4wd auto long bed camper special 2500. Has anyone other than me keep getting water in the fuel? I use stanadyne but still have to drain it off. Truck runs good for a fuel miles and then i notice some hesitation, but it still runs good.

I read alot of lift pump problems. Is this something I am going to have to look forward to? What are the signs of when it is going out? What mileage does it usually fail at? Is there a better one than the factory? Is it in the tank? I talked to a diesel mechanic about my water problem and he quickly changed the subject to lift pump since I mentioned the hesitation to him.

Track bars. I have 30,000 miles and mine is shot. Dealer is replacing it. Next time around can I replace it with a better one?

You do have a lot of questions. Welcome aboard. If it were me and getting water in fuel I would try a different place to fuel up, try the truck stops or some place that sells a lot of fuel. Your lift pump might or might not go out, no one knows when so most guys are getting fuel pressure gauges installed to monitor same. :) chuck.

I have tried different places. It seems when the price goes down the water content goes up. How do I find out more about these fuel pressure gauges?

I have noticed people profiles list all their trucks and toys, how do i do that?

Thanx for the reply.

tell me about it. I would like to have a louder exhaust and a full array of gauges. Another toy to my collection. I'm known around here as the guy does 85 mph no matter where he is. That truck isn't happy unless i am running 85 mph. Thanx for the welcome.

I have 119,000 miles on my rig and have only got poor fuel twice. Both times were in the Yukon and at discount stations. I just filled up as soon as possible and added some additive from Wal-mart. I think it is called power service or something like that. I used to use Stanadine but I can't find it anymore. I've never had the water in fuel light come on. I try to buy at truck stops now.
