Action around Houston?

We got a fresh inch of snow last nite no big deal, I park front and center like normal with 6 others at the administrative parking lot, well the warehousmen gets a snow blower and proceeds to pepper all 7 rigs with snow and a few rocks, a co-worker witnesses this and calls me , by then the damage was done, sure enough he got the front and both sides , windshield too, I was furrious, took a small walk and then right in the warehouse office, there he is just lookin dumb!!! I asked when we got the new snowblower and how well it works , he talks of how nice it is and how well it clears snow, I ask do you think it would be good to move rigs first or just pepper them with snow and rocks , he says well its a common sence thing if it snows expect snow removal, if you dont want your truck covered than dont park there, I said "I can see where this is goin" and I left while he was still mumblin.

I went to my office and opened my e-mail and waited for him, sure enough he does a plant wide e-mail about its a safety deal and if you dont want your truck reuined than dont park there and I was hothothot, I replied with a carbon copy to the managment team and politly said I wished he had informed us before he took it upon himself to pepper my 37 k truck and 6 others with rocks an sand. WOW mgt was on it like you know what , I sat back and watched, other people found out about it and there was some pi$$ed dudes, mgt took pictures and inspected the rigs and the think we are looking at 30k total in damage:eek: , I hope they give this guy a job siphoning outhouses with a garden hose, he drive a crappy trans-am that doubles in value every time he fills it with gas,

thanks for listening guys- I needed to vent..... Kevin

Sorry to hear this Whitmore. It appears your Mgnt gives a rats a$$ about you're property anyway.

If this guy worked where I do, he'd be Dept head by the end of the week.

Eric

Man Kevin, you have a lot more self control than me, I'm afraid I would have beaten him about the head and shoulders. Anyway sorry to hear it, hope it gets taken care of. chuck.

Kevin, sorry about the DUMBA$$ at work! What goes around will come around. Love the clever wit about DUMBA$$'s car!!! :)

The people in the building next door had one of those parking lot vaccum-sweeper trucks come out and clean their lot up. A little later I look out the window and see this vacuum truck driving back and forth... back and forth. What gives? I walked out side and he's hauling butt up and down the street dumping the trash and dirt from the hopper of his truck. The night before I had just had my truck and trailer washed at the Blue Beacon for about $50. Man, I was so mad. After a few choices words with the cleaning company, a check arrived in the mail.

My latest peeve is the body shop next door and their overspray! I'll let ya know how that one turns out.

Eric

I was still mad all nite ,I didnt sleep too good, I came up with an idea , I am going to get with as many folks as I can and we will start parking outside the fence, its only 30 or so yards more so no big deal, this will give the a$$hole warehousmen an opertunity to fill the parking lot up with more of his crap, he is short on room as is and I know he will use it, then mgt will have one more thing to ride him about, he is walking a fine line and I want to temp him or assist him over the edge:D It is my ultimate goal to see that crappy trans-am heading out for the last time:) ... ... ... ... ... ..... Kevin

Champane , I like that ,I will do that to the sugestion committee, Yes its a 24 hour operation but he needs to get his fat arse out there early before all the vehicles get there:) :) :)

I'm pretty sure that I'd have been looking for a new job, after I took a poke at the guy's nose. Somebody suggests that it's common sense not to park in a parking space, they're gonna learn real quick why that wasn't such a good idea.

Then I'd go buy the local OSHA inspector a beer or two, and see if he wants to come out and help locate any other "safety issues" in the warehouse.

Yeah

I push snow, and there was a time where all I did was do sidewalks. I was careful and never hit a thing when using a snowblower, plow or shovel. You must be dumb as a house plant to not avoid cars, just come back later... how simple... new concept... even aim the other way   Sorry about you truck that literally blows!

Russell

P. S. It's 70 degrees here, just kidding! :D

Well there are some opportunities here. Hook up that tow strap to the back of his parked Trans Am and find out:

1. Which is stronger, his bumper or your class V trailer hitch? Oops. Guess the TA bumper's a little thin. Re-attach to his axle and find out:

2. Which is stronger, your hitch or "park" on his automatic transmission? Oops. What was that pin-snapping sound? Come to a complete stop and find out:

3. What's the effect of "towing" on your 0-60 times in two wheel drive? Four wheel drive? Now who's paint is getting sandblasted?

4. With the TA in tow, experiment with playing crack-the-whip. You should be able to side-snap him into a healthy sized snowbank at the end of the parking lot. Now he'll have something to do with that snowblower...

Sorry about your truck. It's fun to vent though, isn't it?

Mine wasn't because of a snow blower, it was a 14year old kid riding shot gun in a pickup that had nothing better to do than to throw a rock at my Snug-Top shell, break the window and have the broken glass tear up the paint on the left side of my bed. I saw him do this. I got in my truck and drove in typical UPS driver "b@lls to the walls"fashion and forced these kids to the side of the road. I called the cops, they called this kids mom and I told her that I wouldn't have her kid arrested if she would pay to fix my truck. Oh she said... no problem. The damage was $1200. I got a check from her for $160. (to cover the broken window) and that was it. I made the mistake of cashing her ckeck and thus I was considered "paid in full with no other claim". I then turned it into my insurance to let them hassle it out with her. I got a letter from an attorney saying that I would be sued for harrassment if I persued it any further. Great example to set for a kid! I hope to see him when he is 18 yrs old... . somewhere dark..... alone..... big stick.....

Kevin, your a smart guy with good self control. Looks like it is going to pay off for you. Sounds like this guy doesn't think things through, you might suggest to Mgt. that next time this guy might do something to get someone killed. Your company would be better off letting this guy go. Hope they fix your truck like new.

I work for a pretty large company. With the concerns for everyones safety these days, our parking lots are clear before the dawn patrol (5:30 AM) crowd shows up. The latest I have ever seen snow removal equipment working was 7:00 AM after a particularly large storm.

You might want to bring up to managent how much safer it would be and how it would ELIMINATE the opportunity for vehicle damage if this guy showed up at 3:00 AM to do his job. THAT would be pretty good payback!

I got an estimate from a 5 star dealer Saturday and they came up with a grand total of $5100. oo    I just about I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER a brick on the spot, they also made a comment at the bottom that said Due to the nature of the damage they request an open ended ticket to cover for hidden damage , they want to replace the windshield , and do a total paint job, all other glass is in question at this time,

I am leaving work early Monday to get another quote and then I will present it to mgt to see what they are going to do about it, I think by the time they get all the quotes in they may be ready to get nasty with him,

Here a couple months ago the same guy decided to move a john deere gator with a forklift, while on the run, ya he didnt even stop he just scooped it up , he broke both fenders and I know they werent to happy with him over that so I am sure this one should be a big hit  this is going to be an interesting week... ... ... ... Kevin

Kevin, before they fire that turkey I wonder if it would be possible to bring my 2500 with peeling paint on down so I can get a free paint job also. ;)
