I have my slide in bunks complete for the bed of the truck. I want to remove cap window and put a boot for easy access to bed with kids. Plus they will think it is fun.

I see there are boots available to completely remove the truck rear window. That looks appealing for the most part.

How hard is it to remove the rear window on these trucks. I remember 80's fords that ere super simple after I was shown how. Are these the same? They look it.

Don't know about the window. Safety for the kids is a concern. are you going to travel with the kids in the back of the truck? Some state laws don't allow this because there are no seat belts back there and first responders are unaware that bodies are in the back if your involved in an accident. Could fetch a citation for you also. If your just camping and using it as sleeping quarters no problem.
