Just wanted to warn you guys that I am about to start bugging you with some 12v questions, just be thankful that the search button works so well :)



I havn't even got the truck home yet and I am already looking to see what I can do to my new toy



I found a 1997 ext cab 2500 4x4 with the 5 sp with only 116,x on the clock, :) When the guy said he only wanted $10,800 I said it's sold and I will bring you cash tomarrow morring. I can't wait this is going to be better then x-mas.



any one want to take a bet to see how long it take to get a little more power from her. :)
 
Im sure you know about the KDP. IMHO, the first thing would be to tab fix that thing!!! Ive been involved in the repair of a 95 that had the KDP fall out. Its not pretty. After that, all bets are off, have fun & keep us up-to-date.

Been lurking here for awhile and finally took the plunge and bought a 1996 RAM 2500 4x4 with 177,000 miles for $8600. Truck is currently out of state and having it shipped to the west coast.
Chrisw- keep us up to date on your truck because I'm sure that I will have tons of questions. I can't wait to get the truck and feel more excited than a kid before Xmas. :))

Well so far so good,



I picked it up Saturday morning and drove it almost 250 miles strait to the scheid diesel rally, Great fun, great trip for the new ram.



The truck has "A" pillar banks gauges, It makes almost 32 PSI, :) 4" down pipe and exhaust :) and it is great shape, I found a little rust on the bottom of the drivers front fender and it's got 2 spots were the paint is coming off the bed about the size of a quarter.



First QUESTION, What should I do about the paint and the rust do I need to address this first? :eek:



It's got a 45 gal tank/truck box in the bed, K&N air filter, Air Bags on rear, After market shocks, Reese hitch rails spray in bed liner and some stupid junk V tail gate that a feller can't even sit on :{ I am going to need a tail gate



I crawled under it today and found the front drive shaft has a little bit of play at the front differential, can't tell if its leaking because the vent hose for the engine is dripping oil on the differential. Everything else looks good to a new bee :p

Forgot to add I can’t get the EGT over 1000 it just won’t do it…… Do you think it need more fuel? :confused:



That's a stupid question that I am sure doesn’t need to be answered :D
