I bought a 98 volkswagen Diesel wrecked wont run

I bought a 98 diesel bug wrecked,got it all back together and have been trying to get it started and no go. I have a vag-com and deleted all the codes and trying to start it, no code come up. There isn,t any fuel coming through the injectors fuel gets to the injectors but not enough pressure to pop I have come to the conclusion that its the ecu or the pump. Does any one have any ideas?

Im am not sure about that year but I know that some came with an emergency fuel pump shut off, in case of an accident. You may want to check to see if it has one. Usually they are in the trunk and a simple reset button.

There is a valve that shuts off air to the engine. You can visually see if it is open or closed. The best information you can get on these is Freds TDI page. But beware, that website will take you days to get through most of the good stuff, and they aren't very good at helping individual questions.

don't know about that particular engine but I learned hard way a lot of those little car engines break the crankshaft when they are wrecked. couldn't believe it the first time I ran across it. had one where an old man pulled out in front of my son making a left turn out of the right lane . car with almost new engine and wanted to keep the motor, guy told me the crank will be broken. Sure as $$it!
