Used in CPLs 1552, 1915, 2000, and 2348 ... 210 hp engines with body # 6820 ... . and CPL's 1553, 1850, 1916 and 2086 ... 230 hp engines with body #7320
OK now i am really confused. i heard back form Keith L. and he is telling me the #744 nozzle should be on them if they are EH DD's. i talked again with the guy i got them from and he says they came from Piers, they were sold to Dave Mitchell for HIS truck and this guy bought them from Dave once he was done with them. I have no reason to disbeleive him, he i a REAL stand up guy, and in the IN crowd with both of these individuals. in fact PDR sponsors his pulling truck.
they are old enough they probably came from BD, so i will try them next. we are taking them to Muncie for Piers to lay his hands on as well.
if i had some . 020 washers, i would just through them in and see. all i have are . 040's and . 060's right now.
that is another reason i am meeting Piers this weekend, plus a 4K GSK, guages are being brought to me by another vendor, i have to talk to Tom Meers about a transmission, swing by a bone yard and look at a bed, rib on Gene for a while and watch the pulls until the wee hours and drive six hours back home (my buddies wife wont let him stay over )
I can fax you the page out of the cross ref manual showing the CPLs ... and the CPL pages if you want as I posted before based on the numbers you posted
Todd ...
That body #0325 ... is from CPLs 2023 and 2175 --- 215 hp engines
edit ... . that body also uses the 6816 nozzle . .
thanks keith, i understand what you supplied me. the problem is these same parts are/were used to make extrude honed injectors. over the years the tips have changed but the body is a body and once you extrude hone a tip its very hard to tell. my peepers dont close in that far
that is why i was trying to see if the vendors kept records of what tips they used and for which application. i will probably just put them in and see what we got. i have to get the pop off's checked and get the proper washers first. its easy enough to pull them back out if they are just 215's. i guess i was just trying to get off easy.
from what you gave me, these are either stock 215's or extrude honed ???'s.
what size washers do you need??? I have plenty of them and can send you what you need ..... plus I need to send you some $$ for contacts ... getting that out today ... . starter stuck this morning ... that's what I get for waiting . . but . . have been busy as you know what getting ready to move back to MO ... wife in Caseyville getting some stuff finished this week ...
Now I am a bit confused. I do know the 6816 is a stock Bosch injectors nozzle for the 215 HP 12 valve. I at one time, had a set of DD3's that used the same part number of 6816 for the nozzle assembly. Perhaps Lawrence has used both part numbers????
will do Don and yes they used several different tips over the evolution of these dudes. i was just hoping they could say "Oh, ya that is a DD ?? we made it in ???? and it should do XYZ for you" not the case though.
Keith, no need, i will get some this weekend from somebody. I talked to Piers yesterday and he told me he would have some with him this weekend.
I vote we dissect these babies, and see what they are made of
