OK oK, the main quest here (TDR) is to get as much smoke as possible..... I think I do! (have as much as possible) But I am wanting to see the street behind me when I have to stomp it!. how can I trim down the smoke package?? I have the AFC tightend and I dont have any major boost leaks (none that I know of) WOT is ok cause I have boost, its just the low speed stuff. what am I missing?

Jim

nitrous! ... ... ... ... ... or twin turbos, lol. I got the same problem and although it may sound funny, but smoke in Cali. may get u thrown in jail, (well, mayby, lol). I'm building twins for my truck, and my families trucks, and friends, to get that early boost and cut out the fist smoke that rolls out. What u can do, is spin back the star wheel in the afc housing, (move the wheel toward the firewall) and this will reduse the amount of diesel applied before boost, but also affects take-off horsepower. Need to find that sweet spot between speed and smoke, good luck, reb

last night I took the AFC off and played around with it, I moved the star wheel toward the firewall and ajusted the screw on the back in (toward the front of truck) which apperently puts more pressure on the spring (same affect as turning star wheel to firewall) and MAYBE there was a bit less smoke, but not that I could really notice... so maybe I just am fueling to heavy at this point to have small smoke!

Get your self an AFC spring kit. They are cheap, easy to install and greatly reduce smoke with out giving up any low end boost. I love mine. :D
