At my age I really thought the wait for the new truck would be easy. IT IS NOT EASY!!!!!!!!!

The order went in on the 15th and already I have called twice to check on the processing. NO VIN# YET!!!

Feels like being 16 years old again although then I thought about sex every 5 minutes Now it is "WHERE IS MY TRUCK" every 3 minutes!!

Dont know if I can wait for another month. Any advise would be helpful. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

I ordered mine the same time you did and I know what you mean about waiting. I called the dealer the other day and she said everything was accepted and they got a VON. I asked her to give me a call when a VIN is issued so that I can track its progress. I've never ordered before so I think it will be interesting to do that. Bad thing though is I think the wait will seem even longer with the ability to find out where it's at. I'm just figuring 8 weeks, which isn't very long if I don't think about it. :D

So you are saying that your dealer told you eight, 8, eight weeks??? Mine said 4 to 6 weeks, if it is 8 :{ :{ :{

Well on the bright side the snow may be melted off of the mountain passes by then so the first trip over will not chew up the paint quite as bad.

I ordered the same time you guys did (Sat 17th). My dealer actually put the order in on Mon 1/19, and called me to confirm, and emailed me the order copy with the VON.

He told me about 8 weeks also, so we all might as well relax. :rolleyes:

Eight weeks! Man that's a drop in the bucket.

Back in 94 I orderd a new full dressed Harley Davidson. It took 2 days short of one year to get it. I cleaned out my shop so I'd have a place to keep my new ride. The shop looked so empty I bought a pool table to pass the time away. When I bought my 2000 Road King I got on line and found a dealer that had the color I wanted. He shipped it Air freight from Texas to Oregon, then it was trucked from Portland to where I work. Had it in one week. I guess I'm not that patient. Bought my 2001 dodge off the lot.

When I ordered my 2001 it took 8 weeks. But it was worth the wait. Good luck. Are you comming to Rob's party?
