Not only did I throw the best series of my life, but I did it at the MN Mens state Open tourney! 802 Actual, 873 with handicap!

WOOHOO Right now I'm in First place by over 60 pins!

With that I also took over 1st in all events with a 2248.

Congrats Josh!! 60 pins is a pretty good lead. Wait, this isn't for the Moonlight State tourney, is it? :-laf

How's life as a new father? How's the little one doing?

Nope not the Moonlight tourney... Minnesota Mens State Open Tourney, in Winona.

279-267-256 were my games.

Life as a father is great. She's an awesome little girl. I couldn't have asked for better!

So now we know what you guys do when it's butt cold outside, those are good game reflecting back on my bowling days.

Good to hear your little girl is doing great.

Congrats JP! I was actually headed to Winona on Saturday to watch you bowl but got side tracked at Hooters on Rose Street in LaX. I hope you had a great weekend dude!

Saturday was fun, I almost called ya and invited you to join us out at the bars that night! I thought you had mentioned you were out of town, so I didnt' call.

Sunday was the fun day to watch. My little bro and I were on a roll! He got his first 700 and I got my 800. It was just an awesome day!

Josh, AWESOME! I've been to 799 a few times... never hit 800...

Are you on a league? What do you average there? What are you throwing? (I know it's a bowling ball) :-laf

I have been holding a 215 average for the last few years.
I've been getting hammered with 8 - 10's the last few weeks.

I'm on one league right now. I used to bowl quite a bit when I was in High School. I quit for 4 years, because I had become to competitive with myself.

I've only had 2 700's so far, I can't believe I basically skipped the 700's. (714 and a 721)

I've really been struggling this year, my average for the tourney is 190, but league is 185 this year.

I've been throwing an Eraser and an OLD Critical Mass. (the CM is so old that the ring finger and thumb are cracking out. This year will be the last year for that ball)

I get a TON of ringing 10 pins. My issue this year has been in my release. Being I wrench for a living, my hands are very strong, I've been pulling through the ball at release with my fingers hard enough to pull the ball 5 boards at times. I finally went and practiced on VERY dry lanes and figured it out. (Stand at the machine, throw it out over the 13 board, hang it on the gutter and walk back up for a strike... dry!)

My practice paid off though, 12 games last monday, league on wed and I was confident going into the tourney. I think that in itself is the biggist thing.

Ah, yes... the "10" pin...

For me, 1/2 step forward and 1/2 step to the left. And stay DOWN at the foul line. I have a tendency to stand up at the foul line.
