jsimpson,

I had to drain the tank on my 92 a couple of years ago. Had to disconnect the filler hose on the tank and then siphoned the fuel out, it is rather slow but it works. On my 92 there is a ball in the filler hose which prevents you from putting a hose down, but this may not be the case on your truck. I then refilled the tank with diesel and I added some two stroke oil.

Drained my 1992 not too long ago. Disconnect the hose from the filler, right underneath the truck, and siphon from there if there is an anti-syphon prevention device in the way.

Have your gas cans lined up, whew, it'll come cooking out of there. I use a garden hose, put it in the tank, and in the container, then get my compressor out, and pressurize the tank by putting the air-blaster up to where the hose comes in, and sealing it with a rag, then blasting air in there. Gets the syphon going double time and no nasty sucking on hoses.

LOL!!!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that does things like this. :)

I haven't had to drain the tank, YET. Prolly just a matter of time though as I'm forgetting things lately. Let us know how it turns out. Since you told us you screwed up, I'll do the same when it happens.
