About 2 weeks ago, I gave the TDR administrators my official notice that they would need to find a new moderator to replace me. Not that I'm leaving TDR, but that school and some family priorities may leave me no time at all from time to time to spend on TDR. Everyone deserves moderators who do their job and have plenty of time to keep things in order.
A replacement has been found, and in the near future, will be introduced to everyone, but that's not my job to do, so I'll leave it to the capable hands of Steve and Robin.
As you guys suddenly took the occaision of a question (that nobody answered - hehe) to offer to help me find the means of getting a truck, I felt absolutely awful that I had not mentioned this before... but since no replacement had been made, and my word to stay on until one had been found had been given, I felt I was in a tight spot. The word came this afternoon, and so I feel I must speak up and make sure I don't hurt anyone's feelings or insult anyone.
Resigning as moderator is something I really must do, at least for the next 2 to 4 quarters of school. If I am to complete the AS degree before I start the BSIT program, I am going to have to exceed 20 credits per quarter, much of it extremely loaded with "busywork" of writing papers, math, etc.
I have enjoyed being moderator immensely. . Not for being in charge, but because being a member has given me time and opportunity to get to know many of you - it has been the single brightest spot in my life the last 2 years. I'm not leaving, that I know of, but there may be periods of time when I'm gone for a week or even weeks in the near future.
Whew... now that's off my mind, I am much relieved...
Thank you all so much... for giving me so much of yourselves and being friends and neighbors to someone almost none of you have ever met in person. I know that I have personally met no more than 5 or 6 members, and a couple have been just briefly at my former place of employment.
Again... thanks so much.
