Here I am

I don't know how to say this... I really don't.

Thanks, TDR Staff

A fun site for the kids in us..

When do we get our next TDR Mag.

About 2 weeks ago, I gave the TDR administrators my official notice that they would need to find a new moderator to replace me. Not that I'm leaving TDR, but that school and some family priorities may leave me no time at all from time to time to spend on TDR. Everyone deserves moderators who do their job and have plenty of time to keep things in order.

A replacement has been found, and in the near future, will be introduced to everyone, but that's not my job to do, so I'll leave it to the capable hands of Steve and Robin.

As you guys suddenly took the occaision of a question (that nobody answered - hehe) to offer to help me find the means of getting a truck, I felt absolutely awful that I had not mentioned this before... but since no replacement had been made, and my word to stay on until one had been found had been given, I felt I was in a tight spot. The word came this afternoon, and so I feel I must speak up and make sure I don't hurt anyone's feelings or insult anyone.

Resigning as moderator is something I really must do, at least for the next 2 to 4 quarters of school. If I am to complete the AS degree before I start the BSIT program, I am going to have to exceed 20 credits per quarter, much of it extremely loaded with "busywork" of writing papers, math, etc.

I have enjoyed being moderator immensely. . Not for being in charge, but because being a member has given me time and opportunity to get to know many of you - it has been the single brightest spot in my life the last 2 years. I'm not leaving, that I know of, but there may be periods of time when I'm gone for a week or even weeks in the near future.

Whew... now that's off my mind, I am much relieved...

Thank you all so much... for giving me so much of yourselves and being friends and neighbors to someone almost none of you have ever met in person. I know that I have personally met no more than 5 or 6 members, and a couple have been just briefly at my former place of employment.

Again... thanks so much.

Thanks Mark.

For a job well done, and I wish you the best of luck with your schooling and hope it turns out well for you. I must say again how much I enjoy reading your posts, I have never known anyone that had a better way with words than you my friend, you are indeed gifted. Good luck. chuck.

Here's to wishing you all success in your pursuits Mark. I can appreciate the time and effort spent in the effort to effect a successful and rewarding career and employment in the conclusion of your studies.

I've begun a career change myself starting about eight months ago and I know the effort and time constraints first hand.

Here's again to you for your support and help! and here's to your family for every good thing they deserve.

All the best!

Frank

Mark

Well, I'm not really that good with words, Not ANYWHERE near as good as you are.

20 credits per quarter:eek:  (don't you have 5 kids also:eek: ), man are you going to be busy.

Best of luck to you in your schooling.

It has been nice reading you posts. You have alot to say, and say it well.

George

Mark,

Thank You for your time & efforts as a moderator. I hope we continue to see your posts in the future - even if school is kicking your butt.

I may not agree with all your posts but I certainly have enjoyed reading them and on occassion have learned something new:D As stated earlier, you are a very talented writer/debater and that will serve you well in your classes - might **** off a couple of more liberal instructors but isn't that what 'higher' education is all about - difference of opinions?

Again, thank you & good luck in school. It will be worth it.

Brian

I have to say this CC is blessed with a lot of non-liberal instructors... At least the ones that teach useful stuff, like economics, languages, and agriculture... they are very much on the same page with normal working folks.

However, I've noticed that some artsy types are wacked out left-leaners, but I'll forgive them anyway :)

Ostentatious

comes to mind when describing Mark's talent with words and wisdom. Mark, so many of us share your philosopy and your un-compromising demand for excellence in government and morality. You are an inspiration to anyone who wonders where to turn next: it's to yourself and to God and Christ. We all control our own destiny, and you have always been an inspiration.

You WILL succeed in school because you are not afraid of work, and you will be blessed beyond your dreams! Please don't leave us without at least a weekly update on how things are going.

God bless you and your's.

Ron :) :) :)
