I changed 11 lift pumps in my 1999. I could do one in about 45 mins and hardly make a mess on the garage floor. I have had a rasp now for several years. Carry a spare lift pump and rasp pump and wheels belt and tools parts etc I went pretty remote in Yukon and alaska. Had to be able to get home etc. I got some good story’s to tell you about my on the road repairs

Ram is using AAM axles in these trucks.

The front is a 9.25” unit and the rear with the HO is a 12.0” one.

The diffs are 3.73 on all SRW trucks. The front is open and the rear has a clutch style LSD.

Also, you appear to be pickup shopping but keep selecting the Cab and Chassis tag for your posts. Not a big deal, just pointing it out for the future.

Ok the info is coming together slowly but it’s getting there. I really need electric folding towing mirrors this might make me go to the bighorn level. Also the best seats My comfort is important. One concern I have is the rear view mirror blocking the vision out of the front. I have that us tall and big fellas can’t see around rear view mirror console. It’s right in the way. This concerns me A frontal blind spot

At 6’4” I’ve never considered the rear view mirror a hindrance. It works well, even with a bed full of crap that blocks my rear view. It’s never bothered my front view.

I don’t know about the difference in tradesmen and Big Horn seats, but I do know the difference between Big Horn and Laramie and I’ll never buy anything that’s not a Laramie or better again. I’ve done 12+ hours days in both and the Laramie is a a huge improvement in comfort.
