I got this code from my pickup and just wondering if anyone knows what it means. I'm not to worried about the second code as i see it's just a companion code so when i get the other one fixed it should go away right? I borrowed my friends code reader and it didn't come up with anything at all and then i tried to erase the codes but it wouldn't do that either? The check engine light never came on. Thanks alot

Chris

I get the same code as I no longer have a lift pump.

Have you modified the fuel system in such a way that the fuel pump harness is no longer plugged in?

If not, I would check your lift pump as it is most likely dead.

No i haven't modified the lift pump at all the pickup is all stock, I checked the connector and it seemed tight should i just clean it out really good and see if it cures it? Now if i do cure it should the codes erase themselves or would they stay in the computer? I'm thinking about getting a new lift pump and getting the vulcan stainless pusher pump kit, anybody think this is a good idea? I've only had this pickup for about 3 weeks now but i've also noticed that my mileage on the overhead console has went down from 18. 2 to 17. 1 since i've had it, would this be a lift pump going out? Shouldn't my check engine light come on too if i'm getting codes like that? Thanks alot for any ideas.

I got that code once when I ran out of fuel

Interesting, i was told that to erase those codes i would have to take it to a dealer or somebody with a obd 3 scanner. J did your code go away after a while or did it stay?

Chris

I get that 0230 code. It will clear if you unhook the batteries for a while. Have done it several times. For me it just comes back though my lift pump circuit is messed up though. I think it will clear by itself once the circuit/problem is fixed.
