Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Finally after 6 mo. of waiting, I finally got a set of 35 12. 5 R17 Toyo Open Country MT's today! The truck rides like a limo now compared to how it did with the BFG MT's I was running before. They are head-and-shoulders better in every aspect but one, they hum more than the BFG's did. I don't mind the hom though. IMHO the money spent on these tires is the BEST money I have spent on my truck since I bought it!
I do have a question though, on the tires I got the lettering on the sidewalls was not solid but had a border with stripes within the border, The dealer had 2 other sets of the MT's outside that had solid lettering on the sidewall. What is the difference? are the striped lettering tires made in the factory here and the others overseas, or is it mine are a newer version?
