Aright, heres my situation.

After i bought and installed my comp and found out how i could slip the stock clutch on demand, i knew it was time to step up and buy a clutch. i went to the somewhat local "RACING ENTERPRISE" here in CT to see if they delt SBC's. No such luck, SPEC only. With some new found advice from some of my friends, there was shop that could get the clutch i wanted adjacent to Waterbury.

to make a long story short, i order the SBC CON FE to the tune of 1278. 00, thinking that i was getting a new flywheel with the bigger bearing and i would be able swap the whole clutch set up and retain all the stock parts. after paying 200 for 3 day shipping and not gettin the clutch for at least a week i pick it up. theres no flywheel. im told that my truck being an 02' had the improved bearing? i leave not thinking anything of it. about 3 weeks later im ready to start wrenching. i take a second look at the black box the clutch came in and the clutch is an OFE UHHHGGGG. after numerous calls and trips to this high performance shop thats thats supposedly open till 530 5 days a week,(NOT). IM stuck with a clutch that i dont want and some day may slip. I feel totally hosed.

is there anyone who would make good on this clutch. its unused in its box. ive already over paid and im tired of dealing with these local power shops. im willing to ship this clutch anywheres if some one is willing to swap it for an FE of the right application. i really want the FE due to its extra holding power. ive driven a 5spd with an FE and i dont mind the noise or engagement.

im getting  just typing this. any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Calm down a little dude. I feel your pain, but feel confident that Peter will fix you up right. Call him tomorrow like Zstroken said. The number is 1-800-988-4345.

He stays RIDICULOUSLY busy, so he may not be able to immediately take your call. Rest assured that He WILL call you back ASAP though.

I've had both the FE and the OFE. Unless you're gonna push 500 ponies, I wouldn't sweat the OFE. It'll hold the power. Personally, I'd hate myself if I made the truck make enough power to neccessitate an FE. I've had them both, and MUCH prefer the OFE. I'd imagine Peter will tell you the same. Just a comp isn't going to stress an FE. That's just my . 02

Wouldn't call it the SBC blues soundslike you got hosed from the shop you bought it from, not SBC! just my . 02

That's what I'm getting out of this also... . Just a question-why didn't you just call SBC directly? They sell direct, you don't have to go through a 2nd party. ALSO... I put 400+ HP to my OFE NO PROBLEM... it drive awesome!

Thats total BS on the shop you ordered it from. If you paid for one thing and got something less get a set and bring it back and demand some costomer service!

Whos the shop? If I were you id be pi$$ed enough to post it on here so us fellow CT people are sure not to spend a dime of our hard earned money there... .
