I got to pull start a 92 Chevy 3500 diesel, 5spd 4x4. His starter was fried and needed to get it started to get it into the shop. Pushing was not an option. So I pulled out the ol' tow strap, hooked up and drug (literally) for 2 blocks.
I know, not a big deal, but it was a first chance for me to try her out. It was cold out, and the Chev was most unwilling to fire up. The driver started to let me get things rolling, then I feel a slight jerk, look in my mirrors, and the Chev is dragging behind me. The rear tires were not turning, while I am just idling along. My CTD was not lugging or working hard at all. After the first block the driver finally chose a different gear, and then it started to turn over a little.
I so love my truck. Didn't even strain to drag her counterpart along behind.
I can't wait for the chance to give her a real challenge.
