LONG CRANK TIME

I recently slid my stock fuel plate forward, and it defenetly made me #ad
. Now for a few questions, I believe I'm on the right track here, correct me if I'm wrong but I think the step to start with is injectors, then plate? Also I wanted to know what is a good way (parts, verses dollars) to get to 300 HP for every day use also , If I install an HP. valve body will this be ok by itself or do I need to do the TC at the same time. Hated to do this all at once , but the bomb bug has bitten me and I wanted to do this project right so my pride and joy can live a long life .

maint. man,
Your OE injectors are good sized already. A strong torque plate will put you over 300 hp easily. Might need to watch EGT @ high RPMs.

I`m not sure what your trans will need, but it probably won`t like the torque of a 330/750 cam plate.

You have the same truck as me, except I have the 4. 10 rears. 370s and a TST#5 plate will give you close to 370hp. Or you can go with the TST#8 and 215s with less smoke and EGT problems but still put you at the 300 hp level. Either way, a valve body would be the minimum to start with if you (can)drive easy. I know you will want a high performance TC to get all that power to the ground. Bombing is as addictive as drugs and can cost you just as much money. Heheheh.

A torque plate and boost control such as the TST Power Kit can get your Ram up to around 280 hp at the wheels, but not over 300. You will need injectors too if you want that much. Also at the 280 range you will definitely need the 16 cm2 turbine housing to control egt. Your transmission will need a lower stall speed converter because your Ram will be making so much torque that the stock converter will allow the engine to run right up to the governed speed and cut back fuel.

Many thanks, yet another reason why I sent in my money to the TDR, Looks like I need to call and get the plate coming , I've heard that without changing the injectors that it's hard on the pump, is this true or is it just a little blown smoke . The 300 figure I used, is just to insure that the new blowties aren't even going to get close!
