I HATE those plastic wire taps...

sounds good. The wire is rather small, unless you take everything apart to get more room soldering it is going to be hard. I think I'll pick up some of these connectors and give it a shot. Anything is better than a scotchlok.

Well I picked up a package of 4 of them for like 2. 85 or something at walmart. Exepensive little buggers. They seem to be very well made, fast and simple, however these will corrose just like any other connector of this type.



I think If I jam RTV down over the wires though it'll prolong this inevitable event.



Overall I'm satisified though, considering the pain it is to tear it all down to solder, this is definitely a faster way. On large guage wires this little thing would really be handy.
