I hate to talk bad about a company BUT !

I read about fixing the leak from the cab markers by ordering LED lights. I also read here many members used a company called RECON. My experience has been wickedly bad so be careful. I placed my order via the internet and paid for it thru Paypal. A day or two latter I realized that the brake light strip would not work on a 03, So I tried to call and cancel the order, I called several times during the day and only got a answering machine, to which I left my instructions to stop and not ship the order. Then I followed up with two emails and I did not receive a response from my first email. They did send out a email saying that it was too late the order shipped. Well so be it... ..... I get the order and only half of it is here, Cab markers and fender markers. They did not send Third bake light or Brake strip. I tried to call again no answer just machine. I left message, They charged my Paypal the FULL amount of the order. I open a claim with the Paypal system and described in detail my problem, I want a refund of the items that did not ship as I did not want them at this time. The NEXT day I get a email from RECON telling me these items are on back order till MAY ? , If I still would accept them they will give me 50 % off. I responded no I tried 6 times to speak with you, I do not do business with folks like that please refund my money. After 10 days I sent another email again no response. So this may be long winded but you may have had great success with them , but buyer beware. Can anyone recommend another LED supplier as I need more for my camper and the rest of the truck. Thx. (As of May 16 no refund)

I had a very similar experience with RPMOutlet.com. Seems like there are more and more companies that operate like that. I guess it's the trade off for cheaper online pricing. It's unfortunate.

I had similar problem with Recon when you call it would go to answer machine and never get a call back. I have had leaky cab lights since the day I bought them 3 years ago . Thought they would give me discount on the new ones nope. I you have a business to run ANSWER THE PHONE OR CALL BACK

Don't be sorry for posting bad experiences with vendors. That gives the rest of us the knowledge we need, and keeps vendors honest or puts them out of buisness. Randy
