I have 2002 prices for those with trucks ordered

Just received my invoice from my dealer on my new truck. It shipped from the factory on 7/25/01 but has been sitting in Laredo Texas for a week for some reason. Anyway, the prices are the exact same as the 2001 prices. I was happy to see this as my dealer told me to expect a 3% increase. Anyway, hope this helps some of you.

Got a railcar number? Guessing it was built in Mexico?

Is it invoice prices that are the same, or MSRP? I ask because from 2000 to 2001, MSRP stayed the same, but invoice on most everything went up, and since I'm buying at invoice, that's what I'm concerned about. KBB and Edmunds websites don't have the 2002 invoice prices up yet.

Invoice Prices and Rail Car Number

I have the invoice for my truck from DC so all I have is the 2002 invoice prices and those are the same as the 2001 invoice prices. I don't have any information on the MSRP.

The rail car number is TTGX995474. Any information you can find would be appreciated. From what I can find out it's sitting on the rail car in Laredo Texas not moving.

Well it went into Laredo empty July 29th. On its way down still (that particular car). So its Prolly just hadn't came back as a load. I'll check in the TCS system when I get to work tonight.



So its still in Mexico..... you just can't see that.

When I drive by on the highway and look at all the rail cars, it is mind-boggling, there are so many!



I have no idea who or where I could go to talk to somebody to let me see it. I can try if you would like me to.

I work Colorado area (#80 Dotsero, CO to Grand Jct and also Grand Jct south to the 3 coal mines and Montrose. #82 My favorite and hardest Moffat Tunnel Job Rocky CO to Dotsero then from Bon to Phippsburg... . and to Craig and two coal mines. #86 Denver west to Rocky (4 yards 2 UP and 2 BNSF at denver)then Denver South to Pueblo and then Pueblo to Walsenburg and Alamosa)... ... and with the tunnels west of Denver (32 of them between Denver and Winter Park) we don't run autoracks... . they won't fit. All I can do is find out where its at..... and then watch the train once I get the train symbol.

MCummings - thanks for the offer but that's way to much of a pain in the butt to make you do. Not to mention, they might mistake you for a illegal allien climbing off the car and ship you back to mexico. We'd never know what happened to you.

I wouldn't even try it. Railroad Police pretty much answer to nobody And they have their hands full catching the illegal aliens coming across, more often then not those illegal aliens lose a limb or get hurt cuz they fall off the train etc trying to get into the US.



Seriously its a nice "thought" but I wouldn't try it. And the new autoracks you wouldn't be able to see in very well, and they might think your scoping it out to steal them down the line... ... . which would be a bad thing if they thought that



Don't mess with the Railroad Special Agents is the point of this post.

Well nuthing I can do for you Yours will come down from Cheyanne (from NorthPlatte) into Denver. That route can be a pain sometimes. And I know you were just kidding... ... I was just tossing out that info for the train buffs And actually if your truck was on its way right now it would be delayed... ... . a derailment took out all three mainline on the Kearney sub a couple nights ago. So it would be congested for a bit. But I'll never "See" your railcar... it'll come to Denver then get switched and taken out to Rolla on a yard job or a local.

With How many R. R. Cars are out there, I wouldn't doubt there are severl, several MILLIONS of $ $ $ if not a couple Billions of dollars of equipment and such out there. If I was mmoving that much stuff around, I wouldn't want people "snooping" around my stuff either.





Wow, with how fast yall are posting back and forth you shoudl just open up another browser window and with the CHAT.



90% of the time I get on the TDR Forums, I open up a Secondary window with The Chat. Like right now, I have the Chat window open on the Lower left of my screen just barely peeking out so I can see whenever somebody comes into the chat.

Thanks for the info Ray, I ordered my truck per your advice to agree on a price above invoice and the dealer next to my home bit. At first he wanted $500 above invoice but when I told him another dealer wanted $100 he agreed to sell me a 02 $100 over invoice plus any increase of price from the 01 year prices.



So hopefully by October I will be the happy owner of a 02 2500 Quad Cab, SWB, 5 spd with 3. 55 rear. Then let the "bombing begin"!!

I'm still getting the run-around from my dealer as to why folks that ordered weeks after I did are getting theirs built and shipped weeks before mine is scheduled. For more ammo, could you tell me when you ordered yours?

I can't remember the exact day I ordered my truck on. I know it was on a Friday though, so it was either the 22nd or the 29th of June .

I'm so envious of you guys whose truck arrival is imminent. I ordered mine on 6/4 and I'm told it still won't be built for another couple of weeks (the build date is never the same when I check). Add another couple of weeks for shipping and I'll be lucky to see it in September -- if they don't slip the date again!

It was supposed to deprat Laredo on a train at 1400 this afternoon. I printed up the schedule of the car and the various trains its on. On its way to NorthPlatte it looks like it will be on some big slow trains. When it leaves NorthPlatte it will be a 23car auto train..... all the way to Hinkle, OR



So that should be pretty decent. I'll recheck the info tonight and post tommorrow where its at. I got locked out of my house last night/this morning so I was late getting to sleep this AM. . and no time before work now.
