Finally,after going to the dealer and ordering my truck on 5-21-01 I recieved a Vehicle Order Number today 7-17-01. This was unreal. Almost considered a ford? Just Kidding. Well I cant wait till i get a hold of that H. O. 6 speed. Its about time DC. .

Get a railcar number when you can (after its built)... and I'll tell you where its at. West of the Mississippi UP carrys all DaimlerChyrsler vehicles.

I ordered mine on 6/2/01 and got my VON on 6/19/01. I called DC using the number on the RAM Order Status site. When I called they gave me the status "D1" and told me it would ship on 7/24/01. You ordered way before me so yours should be sooner. Just called yesterday to make sure all was ok and they said everything is on track with the same ship date.

Thanks for that link. I called and mine is in D1 status as of 7-16-01. They also gave me a file number to check on it. However my ship date is 8-06-01. Not really sure why mine is later then yours especially because i ordered mine earlier? But waiting sleepless in LAS VEGAS!

A possible reason for my ship date being earlier than yours is do to the fact that I ordered from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho. Supposedly they are “the largest Dodge Truck Dealership in the world”. My salesman said that they are allowed to do things that other dealers are not because of the amount of trucks they sell. Perhaps they are allowed to order trucks before the rest of the smaller dealerships get to? Just a guess on my part.
