Amsoil 75-90 Initial Report (better fuel mileage??)

In the local paper there is a write up about the first duramax sold in town..... all going off about 20 MPG and 300 HP and 30% redution in noise... and. . bla bla... #ad
and how if it can pull a certain hill (this weekend headed to lake powell) and lose less than 5 MPH it is better than a PSD... . I dont know how heavy the guys boat is but consitering the road (narrow and curvy in places) I doubt its all that big. But I hope the guy is happy... . and they are quiet... heard one this week and they have the PSD sound... only real quiet... . anyway as I go on and on... . #ad

Heres a laugh hahahahahahahahahahah breathe, hahahahahahahahahahhaha breathe, hahahahahahahahaha. at the zuzu moto.

I'm starting to hear of more and more problems with the sacred Allison auto, too. I heard one of my customers is having heck with his. Heard this from his friend so I don't have any specifics. His is hooked to the big block gasser. How does GM score all that free publicity, anyway?

I heard onedrive past me (around 25mph) when I was walking to class a couple weeks ago. I have a well trained ear for diesel pickups, and I could barely hear it, only reason I knew it was one for sure was because of the badge. What a piece of junk.
Everyone knows when I go through #ad

I think it'll be a while before we start seeing Duramaxes dropping. Gotta give 'em time to really get worked, and for the flaws that didn't appear in all of GM/Isuzu's testing to become evident.

Honestly, I'd prefer that it turn out to be a good motor. You know what they say about competition being good. It'll give us all more options.

Me, I'm so fed up with my POS 2001 truck (my '96 was head and shoulders a better truck) and all the various problems I've had with it and parts I've purchased for it, that I'm about ready to trade for one of those Duramax/Allison deals. The only two things holding me back are (1) the Allison issues, and (2) the fact that the one I want costs $5000 MORE than my RAM.

To be honest I hope that the dura*** works out good too. . I dont think chevy can take another sucky diesel hit. but I have never been a chevy lover and the new style reaks of dodge copy (same as ford) (no chance of looking better though). and good grief. . its no fun to NOT poke fun! even if we dont really mean it. if it works, great... I still LOVE my MECHANICAL pumped six banger and wont trade for a bunch of crazed electrons!! anyway... enough rambleing. . Jim

And one more thing ... even though I have an auto I love the way it stays in the same gear when I go up a big ole hill! the dura*** shifting all the time is no better than a gas rig! whats the point! #ad
