Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) i hit the altanator with wrench

i was changing oil in the ol girl the other day and filter wrench slipped and hit altnator and now the volt gauge reads 12 it use to always read 14 i changed the altonator and no change any ideas the truck is a 98 12valve auto thank you

Check the 100 amp fuse in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) box near the driver side battery.

Yep, you shorted out the Big fuse going to the battery... ... . I did mine a few months back when changing alternator.

thanks yep it was the fuse glad it wasnt anything too expensive my dad thought it was going to be the ecm i said well my freinds on tdr would know thanks
