Since the mandated ULSD, and reformulated oils, I add 8 oz of 2-stroke oil in fuel tank at fillup, add ZDDP additive to oil at oil change.

I've never done it, but a while back someone suggested using cutting oil as a fuel additive because it had a higher sulfur level than other oils.

Oh gawd no, don't put that stuff in a metallic assy like a eng!!!

It conditions the metal to make cutting (in our case wear) easier.

There was never any benefit to having sulphur in the fuel. The problem arises from the fact that the process used to remove the sulphur also removes the fuel's lubricating qualities. Replacing the sulphur will not add to the fuel's lubricity.

Between the Dmax I had from 2001-2004 (75,000 miles) and my current truck 2004-present (121,000 miles) I've been using Primrose PowerMaster 405 Diesel Fuel Treatment and running aftermarket filtration.

No injector issues. That's saying something especially with the first gen Dmax.

I believe a fuel additive that helps with lubricity is a good idea.
