Yes my transmission was wore out. It has 122k miles with about 85k of heavy towing.

It needed a new input shaft, output shaft, bearings, syncros, seals, and a reverse gear. One face of the reverse gear was worn way down. The guy that did it seemed to specialize in the NV4500.

Haven't tested it out yet, waiting for a clutch right now.

What lubricant did you use and how often did you change it?

Did you have any Fast Coolers, or the Genos filter?

Did you have it done in AZ?

Syntorq, changed once at 100k. The fluid turned brown for some reason. No coolers, it's all stock. It was done in Mesa, AZ by Southwest Standard Transmissions.

The way you tow, I would suggest changing the lube at 30,000, and add a set of coolers, she'll live longer. ;)

Keep in mind the factory calls that "lifetime" lube.

Whos lifetime?:D
