OK, I know my way around an engine compartment and have built several small block engines. However, when it comes to the mighty Cummins I am slightly at a lost. I did a search for changing injectors but couldn't find anything so I have to see if someone here can walk me through the installation process. Your knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time. P. S. I can't wait to drive my truck with the injectors. :--) :D :D :D
 
They didn't come with instructions :confused:

I just recieved my DDII's and they came with all kinds of Instructions. If you need them let me know I'll fax them to you ASAP

I know some company had them online... . I can't remember who???:confused:

Mactruck, I did get them but managed to misplace them within 5 hours of having them. I will PM you with my fax number, Thanks alot. :) Oo. Oo.

MIke R. is a model NW BOMBer. There is never a time that Mike will not offer to help install or offer to loan an item for the cause.



Mike has helped me installs a few (censored) item in the past.



And I am always looking for a way to pay back all of the NW BOMBers favors. (you know who you are)

Chipstien,i dont see any transmission mods in your signature?I hope its not stock,it will be toast within days of putting in the dd3's. you are not going to believe the power difference they make.

I appreciate the offer Mike. I ended up doing them today, (couldn't wait)... . :--)Oh my goodness!!!! I wasn't prepared for the horsepower that those injectors unleash. Snowman, I am scheduled for my DTT mods on the 1 of april. I'll have to take it easy untill then:D I am stokedOo. Oo. All I need now is the turbo and I be one happy camper. Thanks again for the replies and the offers of help, now if I can just keep my foot out of it untill the 1st... ... ...
 
Don't worry...

This truck is my pride and joy so you can bet I will be babying it. Besides I am currently unemployed and can barely afford the BOMBs:D But I know I won't be able to afford a new trans:( But just in the 5 mins. I drove it last night made me think I swapt out the ISB to a Signature series. :--) It's not like I really have to baby it..... will get the same power at about 1/3 throttle. So the easy thing to do is not go more than that. ;) But really, everything I here about the trans mods tell me that the difference is like night and day. This coupled with the injectors... I really can't fathom what it must be like for the EXTREME bombers out there. But hey, I know if I had the money I would be one of them regardless. :D BOMB on!!Oo. Oo.
 
DDIII's without EZ

Took the EZ out before I drove to the dealer the other day:rolleyes: With just the DDIII's it really felt weak:(

Put the EZ in before I left the dealer and I was :D again.



Just the Injectors shouldn't be to bad if you take it easy.

Chipstien,the problem is at 1/3throttle now you have the power you used to have at 3/4-frull throttle,with much,much less line pressure in the trans,since the kickdown cable is only pulled out 1/3 of the way,and your torque levels are about that you should have stock at WOT. Im sure you'll baby it,but that is one of the reasons why the high line pressures are so important,when your bombed as much as we are. Id go real easy when its in lockup,this is when it wil be easiest to fry,mine slipped with only an EZ when it was stock.
