Does anyone know the area around wyola montana I have never been there. I was wondering what the land is like and the weather?. Is the diesel more costly then the Los Angeles area?. Are there jobs there for a aircraft mechanic?

Just think Lame Deer, Montana is only an hour and half away.



I went to http://www.gasbuddy.com and entered 59089 for Wyola. It responded "enter a valid zip code". http://www.montanagasprices.com has some listings but no Wyola.



I think the closest airport is Chicago and you may want to consider growing winter wheat for making your own Biodiesel

The big deal in the west is water rights. If there is no city water there and no water rights with the deed you can't even drill a well. If someone else has grazing rights you can't even fence it. Might not be able to build on it or park an RV.

no jobs for an aircraft mechanic unless you work in billings( largest city in the state at about 100,000) but you are somewhat close to yellowstone and other nice places. diesel is about the same maybe a little less than l. a. the big thing about living in this state is if you need it mail order it. as far as water rights go if your are irrigatiing crop or farmland then you need rights. but if you are just building a house you can sink a well for domestic purposes and register it with the state. winters are not too bad, sometimes about 30 to 40 below zero but not too often summers can get over a 100 degrees but also not for long. biggest thing here is that it's two to four hours drive between cities and in smaller areas there's not much to do for the kids. on the up side in most places here in 15 minutes you can be in the middle of nowhere with no one else around. no crowds no hassles and people look out for each other. if you like to hunt or fish there are lots of places to go within a small distance no matter where you are at.

Bellyscraper, that part of the state is mostly grass lands, but it is on the Eastern foothills of the Big Horn mountains... . popular in both summer and winter recreation. Wyola is not much for size but Sheridan WY is growing by leaps and bounds. It might make a good summer vacation site... but for work, Billings and Sheridan would be the places you need to look for A and P work. I think you will find the cost of living to be much cheaper... . housing and such. Fuel is about 2. 50 depending on which pump.

A lot of the Fire fighting air tanker outfits have gone under.

The communities in that stretch are largely Crow Reservation. The closest city is Billings (where a bunch of my family is now located - what a bunch of MT nomads ). Sheridan and Casper are in Coal Bed Methane boom town spurts and will crash in a couple decades, visit Jeffery City first (background creaking of rusty door hinge and occasional trailer aluminum siding flapping in the gentle WY breeze :-laf ) I'd heard MT and WY were closed to immigration, albeit we are issuing temporary Guest Worker Cards.



Is this one of the those "Please come and live here before we go belly up Chamber of Commerce deals"? Similar to, where is it?, Torrington, WY??? Did you buy this off the internet :-laf . Perhaps the best thing would be to pass it along to, say moi, just to get out from under the tax burden.

The property was given to me by the crow reservation because my wife is family of the crow. I also have the right to use the other 100 acres by lease of $1. 00 a year for each 1 acre. I can not fence the land I use.

When I was trying to persuade my wife to move from Bozeman to Lander I told her there were many Korean folks around the Lander and Riverton area. When she doubted my observations I said "Sure they are Korean, they just made it across the Bearing Sea land bridge a little sooner then you did". :-laf

The child cops (called DYFS here) was called to my sister in laws house. Why my wife and I were called to go there is beyond me.

Anyway, the DYFS worker was talking to a family member about her taking a background check to assume temp custody of the kids.

I said to her "Do you think that bank robbery will still be in the system?" :-laf

Nobody had a humor that day except me and the DYFS worker.
