I'm at a high altitude (4k+ ft daily), so smoke at takeoff and under towing conditions will no doubt be a problem with my prospective setup of hx35/ht3b twins and such. My old first gen smoked like a chimney and was only around 300hp.

First off, please don't turn this into an anti-drug war... I'm just looking for the facts.

Ok, so what can a guy put into the mix to reduce low end smoke? I'm not looking for huge HP gains, just a good drug to reduce smoke at takeoff and under load to a level that won't **** off everyone who drives behind me... I live in a small town, so ******* off a few people can make a big problem. :-laf

I suppose turning the smoke setting on the drag comp down might help, but I haven't used a box yet, and don't know exactly how that would work. I'm sure the caTCHER ecm might make the smoke problem even worse.

Either that or it'll spool the twins faster and make less smoke...

Lowering EGT's is also a concern for me... as I want 500-550 HP, and tow a 25' camper or a small car hauler on occasion... all at relatively high altitude.

Does Water/Meth reduce smoke? I know it lowers EGT's and gives a modest HP gain, but if it also reduces smoke quite a bit, I think I might go for it.

ALSO: I want a kit that introduces the drug gradualy with fueling, not in stages or bursts. And I'm not affraid of tuning.

So what's the scoop?

A cam would be your best bet. While N2O and other "drugs" are cheaper in the short term, as a nitrous junkie myself, let me say that it will cost you WAY more in the end. :)

the only thing that reduces smoke is air (oxygen)

nitrous = oxygen in a bottle... it'll cut down smoke and spool the turbo up quickly

but it's like crack... expensive and addictive...

what turbo do you have on there now?
