I drove one Thursday after I dropped mine off for some warranty work before the 3/36 runs out. The ride is nice, stereo kick's my stocker's butt, the dash vents actually shut off which my wife really likes, and the ride is better than my shortbox CC. The light gray interior has less goofy colors than the last slate combination. And, my kids can't kick me or give me the "slug bug" or "cruiser bruiser" as easy.
I don't like the cost reduced speedo as they put the odometer into it along with the gear indicator. the plastic woodgrain is ok but it doesn't do anything for me. The styling of the gauges are not as nice as the 04. 5 in my opinion. The center storage seems smaller on the bottom and the hump cup holder is more obtrusive than the dash mounted ones. The overhead read 11. 0mpg at 64mph with 55 miles on the ticker. I don't know if that is reflective of actual mileage as the overhead doesn't reset like mine. If it is actual, that would make for a long 20K miles before the mileage comes around with the way fuel prices are. Finally, it has the goofy driveshaft wobble on takeoff from a stop. Not sure if I want that option.
It listed for 46, invoice is 40. 6 and there is a 1K rebate on Mega Cabs right now. (SLT UG with premium cloth - 40/20/40, protection pkg, tow pkg, tow mirrors, tow hooks, and alloys with off road tires. ) I have a hard time swallowing over $900 in destination charges for "MPLS Outstate". Still too much for me at this time.
