I don't tow very often.
Mostly my truck gets used for lighter type stuff. About 130 miles a day average. It's got a ladder rack on it with full length Weather Guard boxes on the sides.
Well today I pulled the rack and boxes off and hooked up to my 40' gooseneck
(I normally pull that with my KW T300) and was off to haul a bunch of rebar and a John Deer 280 skid steer. What a blast! I'll admit the KW is probably better for longevity purposes, but the Dodge is a lot more comfortable.
I was grossing around 27000 (oops) but only had to go about 30 miles.
Several hills though. I was so happy with the Dodge. 65 mph up most of these hills just cruisin' :-laf I actually passed a powerjoke that was haulin' nuthin on a 2 lane road :-laf That dude looked flat out pathetic
I should mention that I just added a Drag comp box and a 4" exhaust.
I was running on 3x5 and saw a max 31 psi boost and about 1000 egt's
And this truck has 203,000 miles on it!
Long live the Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel!!!!!!!!
