It’s not a dually. You’re back to that again.

Needs;
3500 (4x4?)
Cummins
Dually

Wants;
Aisin/1000lb/ft Cummins
Air ride/leveling suspension
Laramie or Limited trim

You need to approach this a bit more scientifically. Ordering a truck is another way to go. About 6 weeks on average. You could’ve had your own personal truck by now had you done this some time ago.

No worries, we’ll help you no matter how long it takes.

A SRW again? o_O

And no, it won't support more weight than the Limited CC SB SRW. The MC will put more passenger weight on the rear axle, and is heavier on the rear axle to start. So there less, quite a bit less, capacity on that mega cab.

Yes you could tow that trailer, properly and carefully loaded, with a SRW. But based on all the questions and misunderstanding of GVWR vs RAWR I am not sure that you want to be dealing with that every time you hook up. You need a DRW.

I would say you guys need to make a list of what you want in a truck.

A week ago you were supposed to pick one up this last Wednesday, yet you're still not sure what you even want.

Get a list of the options you MUST have, and a list of the options you WANT. Give that list to the dealer. Tell them only to show you trucks that meet the MUST have, and tell them that if they want your business they will look outside their lot. It's a common thing to do, and not a big deal..

The big deal is that it's apparent that you and your wife don't really know what you want in a truck. Stop wasting yours and the dealerships time and make a list. Get that list refined, and then shop.

Buy it, Now, go!
Dually, 68RFE, be Done.
That Truck will do the Job.

By the way, for 16 Grand you can rebuild the transmission 3x times if needed what I dont think will happen.

Yes that is what my transmission shop guy said he said the 68rfe is a very strong good transmission as long as you keep it stock he said as long as you put a 250 tuner and all that nonsense he said yeah the ice and we do the same thing it will blow up but he said that the 68rfe with a 410 rear end is quite Stout and he seems to think that the new 19 version of the 68rfe I think he said has to friction discs in the torque converter don't know if that's true but he seems to think that's very much true now he did say that the bypass bypass block will do the biggest change to help the transmission he said and that we might really give you a problem with warranty or anything like that he said the bypass block is probably the best thing for the transmission and it keeps that stuff flowing and flowing well if I wanted to get a large pan I could do that and if I wanted to get that little the little coupling that goes onto the little spin on filter that will be fine too but I can't guys sorry drive you crazy but yeah I think we're going to go for the $59,000 truck be an inexpensive one but definitely a dually I'm 100% on that definitely doing 100% hundred percent hundred percent laugh out loud.

Its because of all the crap I heard for years about the 68 but my friend owns a transmission place and he said with a 4.10 99 percent of the time its because of a guy putting a 200 horse tuner on a stock 68 the blows it up and doing burnouts not just going down the interstate at 70 mph with his new 15000 pound fifth wheel.

Yep and my transmission guy says its a much improved transmission over 5 years ago guys.

I asked him have you seen a 17 68rfe in the shop yet and he said yes one, the guy put a huge tuner on it with like 200 horse tune on it and blew the transmission up lol.

My take on this has a little experiance in ordering something to save dollars as well as GPH (Gallons per hour). I ordered my my 1995 boat from the factory and was torn about a V8 or V6, and seeing how I would be running Lake Mead and Lake Mohave that are almost a hundred plus miles long, I chose the V6 for fuel economy. WHAT A MISTAKE, not only did it not get what was expected its noisey and runs at higher RPM's. A marine technician said allway's go with the highest HP you can purchase when buying boats. So I would compare the same theory to a CTD, go with the highest GCVWR and strongest engine transmission.

OP, you can order the truck with every thing you want, so why play CTD roulette with your hard earned money? Don't buy something that you will wonder why someday, "Why didn't I get the _________________ ?

I have always regretted the V6 option for my boat, and should have gotten the V8. When my V6 had a cracked block and was repaired by insurance company, I wanted then to go with a V8 replacement, but that also meant I had to go through the outdrive as well to gear it properly to the V8. I still own it and regret it to this day.

GO WITH THE HO AND AISIN TRANS, if your on the fence about it.

No I am an Anderson Ultimate Connection dealer I must use the products I sell the 1320 turnover works great with the Andersen.

I also use the Lippert Air pinbox.

I wouldn’t ever consider towing that big of a trailer with the Anderson. I’d sooner quit camping.

My 0.02 is you want all that pin weight and forces going to the frame, not the bed’s sheet metal.
