Ouch, but stuff happens. In Dec 18 coming home from the other side of the state a large deer decided to run out into my pass side front qtr panel. Since I was doing about 70mph the forward motion got him to spin all the way down the side of the truck, took out the quarter panel, the front door, the rear door and part of the bed $5600. Had to replace no fixing the qtr panel, front and rear doors, he had bent the frames in each of them. They were able to pull the dent out of the bed. You could see where his head and or rear end hit in each location.

Hi Stuart,

Are you going to tell us the story? Most of us have one... mine was a bollard ran into my 02 3500 dually fender.... about $1,400.

Cheers, Ron

Hey guys hope all is well did somebody say I have 26,000 like 800 miles on the truck now and did somebody say we could use big gigantic Caterpillar oil filters or something like that in the six seven in my 3500 I don't remember if that was said but I'm looking at a damsel catalog right now in case you did not know I have been pulling some RVs out of shipshewana Indiana I've already been to California South Carolina and some other places but I added somebody said we can use those monster Caterpillar oil filters in or Dodges and I'll ram 3500 with the 6-7 Cummins or my nuts thanks guys.

as usual voice to Text does not work right I said that I have over 26,000 miles on my truck now and can I use and I said I was looking at an amsoil oil catalog
but I thought I had heard somewhere that we could use Caterpillar oil filters when our trucks am I mistaken on that guys?????

Stuart,
I believe that the Caterpillar filters that are used on our trucks are fuel filters. On a secondary filtering system such as an Air Dog or a Fass system.
As stated above the oil filters most of us use are either Fleetguard, Mopar and or Donaldson.

Stuart, sounds like you are giving your truck a workout hauling RV's, sounds like fun.!

Curious how that is working out, you still using the Andersen?

I am only pulling travel trailers in other words bumper pull I still have the Anderson hitch in the truck bed and my jayco North point is parked here on the property so no I'm not doing that around however they pay me a dollar 25 a mile and it will help my taxes that's all I can tell you because I have four children still living home technically I'm making money technically I'm making money but technically I'm making money I don't know not making my accountant says it will really help with my 2020 taxes that's only told me.
the travel trailers are very light barely over 9,000 lb in my jayco loaded with 17,000 so not one bit of trouble the the Dodge is doing great except for that dent in the side which is got to get repaired in a couple weeks.
I now have some ballast in the truck bed I have 720 pounds of blocks in the truck bed to come down that air suspension a little bit and it does write quite a bit better to travel trailers only put about 500 pounds on the bumper receiver hitch.

Thanks.

was wondering if you put the adapter on the 5ers. Bumper pull with a DRW at those weights I assume you don’t use any sway or leveling.

If not you should reduce your rear tire pressure. I’m betting 35 is plenty.

I used to haul Racing Pigeons when I was younger. Loved being out on the road!

Yeah I am just doing travel trailers no fifth wheels or anything like that I still have the Anderson hitch in the truck bed and I was I was saying before I've got 720 lb of blocks blocks you know blocks and it is calm down the air suspension quite a bit rides a lot better and as I said the travel channel is where we put 500 pounds on the receiver 2 5/16 ball hitch so far it's riding pretty well.
you used to haul racing pigeons in like a box or Cooper something wow now that's the you don't hear that everyday cool......people don't realize Mike Tyson was a big fan of racing pigeons he had a coupon on top of a building or something where he had racing pigeons or some kind of crazy pigeons that tumble.

Yep true on Mike!

hauled for a group of clubs in NWWA. Released birds as far south as Weed, CA.

The clubs loaded their birds into 4x4x1’ high crates. We would pick up at each club and place on truck or trailer. Last pickup was Olympia, WA about 11pm then head South to the release point.

hey guys does anybody know how many gallons the Dodge will burn say I'm sitting idling sleeping in the back say like just 8 hours what do we think that I will burn is it like half a gallon of our just idling or something like that you know sleeping in the back cuz I've got a little bed set up in the back and I'm only 5 foot 4 so I fit really nice just a curious question guys thanks so much but how much do we burn an hour just idling in diesel fuel????????
