I miss oil threads....

I got so confused and fed up with it all, I quit using oil in my rig. I just mixed a batch of half Quaker State and Slick 50, and quit doing oil changes - forever.

I too got tired of all the hupla about motor oil. Found that I could buy corn huskers lotion in 5 gallon pails. Figured if the stuff was so slick on your hands it had to be good for my crank, plus keep the pistons clean!

I probably missed it, but has anyone done a poll on what oil is most used, second most used, etc? Have spoken to a lot of people who own Dodge/Cummins through the years and Rotella seems almost be the standard answer in these parts.

I take the used 15-40 and the 30 weight from my tractors, mix in the Hytran and use it in the Cummins. Got tired of that Rotella T stench and cured the mosquito problem at the same time.
