Now here's an odd request

Tornado In Town

I recently entered a business plan competition in Iowa. In two weeks I'll find out if I make the next round. I was in the process of capturing "14plus.com" when the owner made a last grab and retained ownership. The site is about plus sized clothing. Sizes 14 and above. I'm looking for inspiration through funny names. I've tried almost every decent sounding combination with the word "Plus" in it and obviously they are taken. At least as a .com and you shouldn't use .net. The guy I do websites with hasn't been much help. As entertaining as they are Fatwear.com, GetFat.com, PlanetFat.com, GotTwinkies.com aren't exactly going to score points with the judges.

for a point of reference Marilyn Monroe floated between 14-16.

so feel free to say something ridiculous as a domain name, it might trigger something in my head.

The list so far...

PlusPlus.com

Plus is actually the term, like juniors, teens and petites but that doesn't have to be in the domain name. Women are so fricking delicate they have to come up with clever names to make everything sound "OK". And now they have embraced fat. 1 in 20 teens is plus sized and 62% of women are now plus sized.

For example. Guys have "guts" and "spare tires". Do you know what women calls guts... ... Get this... ..... "Muffin Tops" and people wonder why men go own shooting sprees.

"Blueant" is the name of a company that makes Bluetooth accessories. It doesn't have to have "plus" in it.

I just almost got lucky with 14plus.com It was nice and short, easier to remember and easy to spell. I own frieddiesel.com. When I give my email out they usually spell it wrong. 1 "d", diesel as deisel, fried as "fryed". Here they use tdr1.com. I would bet most people might spell it wrong or use "registry" rather then "register". But I bet they own turbodieselregister.com, net, .org and point the servers towards tdr1.com

GetPlus was taken, PlusShopper might be available. Sometimes people sit on domains too. I own about 20 domain names.

However, I digress

Depending on the business name it is kind of a tough one coming up with a dot com etc that people can grasp easily, and use easily. Simple is one of the keys and a dot com somehow seems more legit than a dot net etc. My business name was taken, so I used my "handle" name from an industry forum I joined years ago.

Actually, our primary domain name is turbodieselregister.com and that's what the majority of people go to the site by - about 85% of the traffic on the site is on turbodieselregister.com. We also have tdr1.com, and turbodieselregistry.com - all point to the same server. 2360 people found the site last month searching on either "turbodieselregister", "turbodieselregister.com" or "turbo diesel register". 729 found it via "turbodieselregistry", "turbo diesel registry", or "turbodieselregistry.com".

Did you try plus14.com?

As I recall, "plus" sized women like to quote, "Real women have curves. "

With that in mind...
