I need a price check on Rancho 9000.

What did ya pay for Rancho RS 9000 adjustable shocks? I only plan on putting the 9000s on the rear.

I checked out Checker auto. They wanted $150. 00 a shock. My jaw hit the counter. Then said thanks but to much for my blood. I need shocks really bad. I've got 150k miles on the factory shocks. Boy they are shot too.

I got mine for 127. 5 for a pair including shipping from http://hotrod-offroad.com .

Started with the rears - made a big difference and ordered the fronts a month later.

I think the price went up one dollar each so now it will be around 130 bucks a pair including shipping.

I would shop elsewhere. The local 4x4 shop I bought mine from last year were $70 a piece. I just found them on the "Net" for $69. 88 each. Central Four Wheel Drive

I purchased mine from them at $55. 99ea. and the in cab controller at $135. 00. Had everything at my door in 2 days. Talk to dan. If your truck is a 4x4 you will really appreciate the ride if you do the front also. Much smoother. Good luck, Dwayne.

I'll second everyones opinion. Just put 4 RS 9000's on my truck and I got them from HotRod-Offroad.com The ride is great with my camper... . They are also pretty easy to install, as there are many links with great information on this site on how to install new shocks... .

Got mine cheap

I got my Ranchos 6 weeks ago for $55. 42 a piece. Definitely worth the money. I got mine at hotrod-offroad.com.

Well I ordered my Ranchos today. I oredered the from Central Fourwheel Drive. Cost is almost the same as hotrod. But I save 26 bucks for no shipping charges.

It never occured to me to just replace the REAR shocks! The front ones are worthless from the factory. I replaced all four with RS9000s within a month of buying the truck because the front end would bottom out the shocks over those little speed bumps they put in our neighborhoods here . I was very disappointed with that. The Rancho's cleared that problem right up. I think I paid about $65/shock at 4 Wheel Parts.

I am only putting 9000s on the rear.

I forgot to mention about the front. I plan on using the RSX on the front. They are suppose to be a self adjusting shock when the road gets a little rough. Since the weight does not change often in the front I really don't need the 9000s on the front.

I stayed away from the RSX's. I was told that they are not heavy-duty enough for a truck this size. The diesel engine is just too much weight in the front. I could have gotten some bad information... but I heard the same thing about Edelbrock's gas shock that is comparable to the RSX.



(Of course, I got this information from the salesman at the parts counter at 4 Wheel Parts. I might also add that the RS9000's are more expensive than the RSX's. Add it up )



BTW, 4 Wheel Parts here in Houston did not impress me in the least.

Just put my rs 9000 on last thursday. paid 263. 00 for all four no shipping charge. I got them form 4-wheel parts wholesale. They do hit you with a 10. 00 charge for putting them in the box. I set them at 5 on the front and 3 on the rear. I dont carry much more than air in the back bed. Boy do they ride great.
