I'm all :D cause I just brought home a 1966 Chrysler 300 convertable yesterday. Lots of restoration has been done already, but the transmission seems tired. The front pump seal is leaking badly. I am looking for a good used 727 Torqueflight in the Bay area - San Francisco to Monterey California. Any sources?

Hi Dane,

glad to hear you got the car, you'll be happy. I happen to live near a cool shop where you can store/work on your own car. It's in Mountain View. I seem to remember a couple mopar flavored trannies there. If not, there is an awesome transmission guy who does side work there. Might be an easier fix and you get to keep the original transmission.

Give Ben a ring, he's the owner, Gary is a great mechanic. Place is called DreamLot.

650-964-4699. He's there from noon til 9pm.

Most of the folks there gravitate towards Mopars...

Hope this helps.

Thanks Tony!

I was gonna send you a email and let you know I got it. I'll give Ben a ring. In the mean time keep your ear to the tracks for someone parting out a car with a good one in it if you would?
