I need shocks

I have 74,000 miles on my '03 3500, 4wd,srw,lwb,ctd and need new shocks. I prefer Rancho or other adjustable shocks but rancho hasn"t updated their catolog since '03. Can anyone out there help? Gregg Weeks Ojai, Ca.

Ranchos are garbage, this has been covered in the past, use the search feature and you'll find a long winded post about shocks.



Do yourself a favor, get yourself some Bilsteins.

Some people do have good luck with the Rancho's. I prefer the Bilsteins but if you want/need the adjustability then get the Rancho's with that option. I'm waiting for the OEM replacements to come out.

I just installed Bilsteins on my truck this weekend. The shocks that came off were the originals. I was unaware of how bad my ride was until I installed the Bilsteins. I went through a alley that is like a wash board. With old shocks I felt everything. The new ones smoothed the bumps out. It was enough to make me wonder if the city had graded the alley since my last pass. Nope. Just the new shocks doing their job.

Bilsteins

I have been running the 5100 series Bilsteins on my 2004,very happy with them verses the stock shocks. coobie

I put the 5100's on about 6000 miles ago. Very pleased with them(Got a super duper deal too! ($200). I pulled the stockers at about 54000 miles. Both fronts were weak, the left rear I could play like an accordian. The new shocks made the truck feel new again.

i just bought a set of blisten shocks from eshocks.com. i got a good deal on them... . have yet to install them yet but i hear great things about blistens stuff...
