what would you guys charge someone to work on there truck and put on a new vp44 injection pump, fass with vulcan line kit and boost, egt, and fuel pressure gauges. .

i would like to know so i don't over charge the guy or under bid myself on just labor he's buying the parts...

I gree with sixpac for friends and neighbors. At work I bill at a meager $75 / hour. At home its srtictly by the job. And not always for $$.

Water pump with bro-in-law on a Y2K Chevy conversion van = 1 case of Miller

Tune up on a 98 12 valve (valve adjust & check over, I think a couple other small items) = $80

Transported a Caprice classic 20-some miles = Belly full of pizza

Points & condenser in an OLD ford p-u = $20

The fuel pump Im about to help same Bro-in-law put in same van might need 2 cases :)

just some examples. Now I just gotta get to my OWN truck

i build race-cars on the side for extra cash for all my hobbies and this is a contract welders truck up at my day job and it is going to be his new "used" welding truck...

and yes if it was for a buddy i would just pay it forward... .

My boss has a great rule to go by..... It's the 100 year rule and goes something like this... . EVERYTHING works out in a hundred years :)

I have never charged a thing to help anyone. Maybe it's just me. However, I would say that the 4-5 hundred mark is VERY fair!
