I am looking for some slicks, and I can't seem to find a tire that is close to the size I am looking for.

I am looking for a 31x10. 5x16. I like the 10. 5 becuase then I could run in the 10. 5 Classes (unless there is a rule that says 2wd only? :) )

If there turns out to be something prohibiting me from running 10. 5 classes, or, if it would be wiser to go with a wider tire, then I'd like to go wider, but I am looking for the heigth to be close to 31", and I "need" the tire to be mountable on a 16" rim.

I do need to get a rim also, but I don't think that will be a problem, but, as always, I would be gratefull if somebody has a few they would like to get off their hands, or knows a source to get some wide rims (10"-15"+).

It depends on the slick size I get,, If I get a 10. 5" slick, I think I would be well off with a 9"-10" rim.

I would appreciate some input from those more experianced with slicks, as this is my first time with slicks.

I would prefer the slicks to be DOT legal, but,the 30-32" tire heigth is more important.

Thanks,

Merrick Cummings Jr

Try a 31 10. 5 wide. I'm not sure if anyone makes them in a 16 inch but the W designation will get you a wide tire. We use the 10. 5 Wide tires for the 10. 5 shootout classes. They are made from 28 through 33 inches tall. With a W designation I wouldn't use anything smaller than a 10 inch wheel. Standard 10. 5 tires will work fine with a 8. 5 inch wheel through 10 inch. We have guys running in the 4. 80 1/8 mile range in our 10. 5 class.
