MN dyno day at high tech?

Ok guys. I need some ideas.

What do ya'll want to do as far as club events go.

I have to say, I haven't been getting a whole lot of interest in the upcoming events. We really have had alot of stuff this summer but I'm not sensing much interest.

So I'm thinking maybe we need to do some non-truck stuff... . fishing trip? Pheasant hunt? um... . maybe some of ya'll have boats and a bunch of us could get together at a lake and do some skiing? BBQ somewhere?

Let me know your out there!!!!!

Seeya!

A BBQ would be fun. Maybe a wrench day. A poker run would be a thrill. As for recent truck events I'm sad bout missing bandimere and the truck pull but just had a baby and it was just to close to the due date to commit to the events. I'm always interested in whatever events come up but have to find the time to get on the computer to find out whats happening and to squeeze events into my schedule.

Congrats!!!

Mod days are always good. Sometimes Bud's Muffler in Denver likes to host those for us.

I would love to do a Poker Run, especially in the fall. I don't know how it is organized or what type of preparation goes into it though, but I'm sure we could get help and figure it out.

Our club camping trips have been fun in the past as well. I am hoping to get one set up for next summer that includes white water rafting. The last really big one we did, we went out to Sterling Reservoir. We had a big pot luck dinner one night, did some fun things with the kids and just relaxed and got to know everyone. It was a blast.

I'm also trying to get a time set up right before Halloween for everyone to meet up at the Haunted Corn Maze. Alan and I and our kids went last year and it was too much fun. We kept saying how fun it would be to have all our club members (both clubs :D ) loaded in that trailer going through the corn. And there is lots to do for everyone, no matter what their age. The non-haunted corn mazes are fun for the little ones when it is still light outside.

And don't forget, you guys always have a great party around Christmas time. Alan and I always enjoy crashing those. :-laf

Generally, the way our motorcycle Poker Runs go something like this:

1/2 the pot goes to the club

1/4 high hand

1/4 worst hand

5 card draw

5 stops (bar, rest stop... where ever)

$1, 1 time extra card buy (at last stop)

Use pre printed 'card draw sheets' with all appropriate info (including Run route directions... all rules spelled out UP FRONT... (i. e. aces high only, low & high... etc. )

Pot, rules, draws... etc to be ammended as req'd by The Club.

Jeremy... I have not been too active with RMTDR this year... bought a truck camper and with fuel prices, I have been gettin' out but staying local.

I'm going to have a wrench day out at the ranch sometime in October.

- Planning to kill the KDP in my own '93.

-- Can do others' rigs at the same time if there's interest.

- BBQ/picnic before/during/after

I'll also work the Christmas Party in Dec. We've done it at Bennetts, but I'd like to do it pot luck style at someone's place, where everybody comes with a food or desert or drink to add to the overall feast. Really a great way to go - did it that way for the local Mopar club here in the Springs last Christmas - was a blast.

Anyone have a place big enough for 20-30 vehicles and persons? I'd be happy to host it out at the ranch if y'all are up for a short drive to the 'Springs. Plenty of room and parking.

How about an Octoberfest trip to Vail?? Could go up, enjoy the party, see the town, have a beer, sleep overnight at a decent hotel (maybe get a group rate), and drive back the next day?

^thats^ what I'm talking about!!!

I will be down for that for sure!

Also I think that doing the Christmas dinner done pot-luck style would be awesome! I'd do it at my place but I don't have the room.

Oktoberfest would be awesome!!!

Heading into hunting season for me, now thru end of Oct. I'll come up with something nifty after that. I've been on the job 60-65 hrs a week the last year and haven't put much into anything but work, sleep and honey-do's around here. I'd like to do a Cheyenne Frontier Days gig again, just need to commit to getting it together. I have plenty of outdoor room here, just not enough inside for 20-30 people.
