a friend of mine has a 87 topkick with a pitaful 250hp turbo 3208 cat in it. He needs more power in a bad way. If anyone has some hints on what I should do to turn it up feel free to email me or put it here.

the only thing I saw on the pump so far is it does have a throttle stop that I'm sure can be "adjusted".

Thank you in advance.

A turbo-ed 3208 is pushing it stock. they are short lived.

A fueling enhancement would not be recomened if it is a daily driver. The lower HP 3208 hold their parts alot better and longer.

Just my experience the 3208 is better left alone.

The truck is a racecar trailer puller, basically a weekend worrior not a daily driver. I has to be pushed up a little. Besides a p pump 8. 3 would take its place if it did deside to granade. :)

It requires moving shims on the fuel rack. You must remove the cover on top of the pump, there is like 6 bolts holding this on.

You will have to look at the rack inside the pump. There should be a buffer spring that has springs around it. when looking at the rack, move the throttle to full fuel and see which way it moves and you should be able to tell which shims will have to be moved. The shims are moved from one side to the other.

If you have a couple of days I can maby get some pictures of this.

I work at the cat dealer and have access to all the books and pics.

Maby i can post some pics.
