what it costs a bulk mailer (like credit card companies) how much it costs them when somebody sends a application back in a postage paid business reply envelope?



Do we have any Postal Employees out there with the answer?

Three months of mail built upa whole pile of offers of credit cards with no intrest, low interest, super low interest, and a bunch other such lies - - -so I've gone thru each one of them and then put it all back in those fancy business reply envelopes so graciously supplied by the likes of Capitol One, (4 times), New Card Member Services (3 TIMES), VISA Card Processing Center, HSBC Approval Department, and whoops, Capitol One two more times.



This took some time but think about all the Land Fill Space I've saved my trash company - - Oh and I did get some stuff in there that came from elswhere, it amounts to about 2oz. per return mail, but what the heck it was trash when they sent it out. Hope they pay thru the nose, besides that keeps the mail man employeed.

LOL! Ive been doing the exact same thing for years now. I always add stuff like cigarette butts, a small rock, or anything else I find near my desk I dont want. I also include the original envelope it came in. I hope the rotten *******s are paying dearly for my return mail! I also know Im doing my part to keep postage cheaper by supporting the snail mail system.

how putting some used lead flashing inside the envelope? that'll add on the weight eh... ?

I've been sending them back for years. It really cuts down on the junk mail and the USPS needs the business.

Most of those return envelopes are marked "Pre-Paid First Class Postage" so in the US it is costing them at least $ 0. 41 each.

I've done this also for afew years since I heard about doing it. Send everything in the envelop plus the envelop it came in. More weight, more postage.

A co-worker of mine (who had issues) used to urinate on the stuff, and then send it back. I'd hate to be the first person who came in contact with that. #@$%!
