Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) I plugged the turbo at elbow

I was using the elbow that came with the edge ez. I was having problems getting the boost past about 25 pounds. . I took the ez elbow out and put a plug in the hole of the turbo and completely took the wastegate loose. I can now push the boost up to 30 pounds with an exhaust temp of 1100 deg . My question is if I keep my boost to 30 lbs or less will my pluging the wastegate hurt anything...

I have plugged mine several times, for extended periods. No adverse results. The stock HX-35 will run higher than 30psi without problem, but it will shorten the bearing life some, due to rpm.

I pluged mine 130,000 ago and have had NO problems!!!!!!
