Navistar Unit To Supply Ford With New Diesel Engine

??? Can you get Carbon Monoxide Poisoning from Diesel Exaust?

of the pending BOYCOTT of IRAN - which along with all the other fabricated freaking excuses - you know ULSD and the Fall Heating Season - (even though last year was very MILD - remember) - will allow these shyster crooks who run these oil companies to really screw us more - we need to bring Charles BRONSON out of retirement !!!!!! :--)

With the arrival of the new Diesel fuel to be here the first of Sept. ( Some stations already have it) there will be another possible increase from 6-7 cents a gallon to take effect if the supply runs low do to the refineing proccess. Its much like the "old days" when they were takeing the lead out of the gasoline. This is the most EPA regulated state in the union so its naturally that nobody "rides for free". With the event of more Bio fuels for our Diesel trucks forthcoming, It will be awhile before this becomes stabilized if ever. Just my . 02 worth.

This morning on TV I liked what an analyst said, "put the sanctions on IRAN, don't buy their oil" Sure our oil prices will go up, our economy will slow, but their economy will fail!!

The end of cheap oil is here.

Too many people, not enough daily oil production to meet demand.

Price of oil tripled, so the price of diesel tripled.

The United States (U. S. Oil companies) buy most of their oil from Canada & Mexico. How does that make the oil companies into crooks?

Well actually it would be a UN sanctioned boycott. Iran has very little refinery capacity. The purchase almost all of their gasoline.

Sorry, but the oil companies do not set the price of oil, that is done via the stock maket and oil and gas futures. It called supply and demand and market price. High demand + low supply = high prices.

I dont think we need Charles Bronson, just more oil and less demand.

If the whole world would boycot Iran (I know, fat chance), our problems with them would be over. Sure it would hurt our economy, but freedom and security are worth more to me than cheap oil.

I agree, it's not that fuel is expensive now, it was cheep for a long time. You still pay more per gallon for the bottled water you get while you fill up. I also predict some stabilization in the future. The prices we have now will help with the alternative sources going on line. If we had been paying $2. 00 a gallon the last 10 years we would probably still be paying $2. 00 now. It short, It's supply and demand, pure and simple, and until we get more supply the price will be unstable

This is why I run B100. I would much rather see my money go to our local farmers then have the feeling of being bent over at the pump while buying some teriost a new pair of silk boxers.

How can a UN backed boycott work? China and Russia both have been helping Iran, and Russia has veto power like the U. S, so I think Russia will just veto any UN boycott of Iran. Does China have veto power also?

As mentioned China will happily buy all the oil they can from whom ever they can.

This futures business is a racket! Has nothing to do with nothing! Think that big oil doesn't use them to their full advantage? Think again! We are being screwed and haven't even been kissed!

Oil and Pharmacutical companys do not and will not ever care about the common folk that make this country turn. All they care is that you keep stuffing your retirement funds and or buying stock to make them and their investors lots of $$$$$$$$. So they can buy mansions and property in florida that the government or anyone else can't take away when the economy does crash.

Reports claim that in canada there are many times the total amount of oil there than in the entire middle east. We also have access to that amount of oil in the western USA but it is under a large layer of shale and not in sand on the surface. I don't here of any major projects trying to get at that oil where we wouldn't have to build or worry about 1,000's of miles of pipeline to rust out.

(Its all right here under our own feet)

explain to me this. The chevron down the street among all the other gas stations here in arizona have been dropping their gas prices. This chevron has decided to raise their diesel price 6 cents, why? Why lower gas prices and raise the diesel prices.

Amen - a man who really understands that the Futures market has NOTHING at ALL to do with Supply and Demand!

I think what drives me nuts the most is the differences between stations right across the street from each other. Sometimes it's . 10 difference, but the high price place is still in business! How is that? To me, that's $3. 50 per fillup. Not a huge amount, but a few beers at least. The other thing that kills me is how fast it goes up when something bad happens, but how s l o w it goes down when something good happens. All in all, a real PIA!

What is the old saying, Put a frog in a pot of water and light the flame, before long the frog is being cooked and does not even know it :(

Could be that the flame was lit long ago within the oil industry for profits. Problem is, it is not just one cause, there are many. But I think that GREED is bigger than most of the many.

We as a country have the technology to drop off of the oil requirement. How come we do not do that

EASY MONEY when YOU are the ONLY GAME in TOWN ;)

Hmmmm, sounds like GREED to me :)

And how come the American Automotive giants, consistantly let foreign companies beat them in the MPG market. If they, (American Automotive giants) want to rekindle thier market share, then maybe they out to get something out in the next year of two that can go 100 mpg and cost the regular man a fair price. They tout prototypes that can do it, but nothing evers shows up on the floor.

Interesting how Toyota developed the Prius Hybred and was taking a beating on it (losing money on each one sold) for the first couple of years uuntil they got the production #'s up. I think they are breaking even and turning a profit finally, but their market share is growing.

Europe has small commuter cars that get fantastic mileage, but they are not allowed to sell them hear because they do not meet ODOT and Goverment standards. Give me a break. Look at allot of cars on the road and you will see junkers running everywhere. There are a couple of small cars made in Europe that would work really great over here and get better mileage than what we see here.

Alternative fuel  Bio-Diesel is not alternative fuel in my mind. Still using diesel. Hybred is not alternative fuel, still using gas.

How about some electrics that can average 200 miles on a charge for commuting. How about some hydrogen types that can cover say 500 to 600 miles between fill and get 35 mpg.

And if you want to go real big, say I am a truck driver hauling freight, let me use my diesel for manuvering around town and the big cities or rural areas, but when I need to go state to state or cross country, I can pull up onto a special roadway, drop two contactors down like the old slot cars of our youth and go entirely electric drive for how ever far I need.

There are allot of methods we can use, but our wimped out congress and oil and automotive outfits would rather keep the easy money (yep we are slaves to their greed cause there is no alternative).

FOOD FOR THOUGHT GUYS ;)
