I have an old 72 GMC as a secound vehicle. Well I always wanted to know how well my truck would pull something. Well I engaged the lockouts on the GMC put in 4 low and in 2nd gear. I left the engine off the gmc makes a good brake. I backed my truck up to the gmc and hooked a chain to it. I put the truck in 4 wheel hi. I let off the clutch and away I go. TOO easy. I stop and notice no drag marks on the ground. I go in the gmc and put it in 1st gear. I get back into the truck. I let off the clutch and now. The truck grunts a little but still takes off like a bad habit. Still pretty easy. The wheels on my truck never slipped at all. The tow hooks on the gmc are now bent inward. Gotta find something else to challenge me?

Once I pulled a Ford L9000 single screw tractor and 48' Fedex trailer loaded with 20K of Airfreight from a mudpit in front of the Fedex station in Laredo,TX with a 4 banger '84 Toy 4Runner. :D That was two days before Xmas 1992. I'd imagine I could do a heckuva lot better with my '95 Ram if I could get my box weight just right. ;)
